The device according to the invention includes a duct 11 for guiding hot air, inside the lower part 6a of the window opening lining 6 of a side upright of the windscreen. The guide duct 11 is connected at one of its end 11a to the end 14a of a hot air distributing circuit 14 located under the dashboard 5 of the vehicle. The guide duct 11 includes, at its end opposite the end 11a, a nozzle 12 for blowing hot air 18 on to the side window 2. The sealing of the device is not affected by opening or closing the front door 1 of the vehicle. <IMAGE>
