摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the optimum ultrasonic diagnostic image corresponding to a diagnostic region and the ultrasonic characteristics of a vibrator by judging the scanning line density of an ultrasonic wave on the basis of the output of a means for selecting a specific vibrator from vibrators having different ultrasonic characteristics to drive the same and that of a mean for setting the diagnostic region due to an ultrasonic wave. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus 1 is constituted of an ultrasonic probe 2, an observation device 3 and a display device 4 and ultrasonic vibrators 6a, 6b having different frequencies are provided in the probe 5 at the leading end of the ultrasonic probe 2. Both ultrasonic vibrators 6a, 6b are connected to a motor 8 through a shaft 7 to be rotationally driven. Further, an encoder 9 is connected to the rotary shaft of the motor 8 in a rotary ratio of 1:1. A frequency selection switch 12 selecting the vibrator to be used and a diagnostic region change-over switch 13 for setting a diagnostic region are provided to the observation device 3. The scanning line density of an ultrasonic wave is judged on the basis of the input signal from both switches by a scanning line judge circuit 15. Then, the drive signal of this ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus is controlled on the basis of the judge result of the scanning line density and an ultrasonic diagnostic image is displayed on the display device 4 with the scanning line density suitable for the diagnostic region and the ultrasonic characteristics of the vibrator.
