<p>PURPOSE:To detect speed accurately through a simple structure by arranging a contactless switch for detecting only the section of magnetic member in a moving body in a travel path thereby detecting the speed of the moving body. CONSTITUTION:When a moving body 1 passes through a speed detecting position, a contactless switch 9 is turned ON only when the surface of a projecting section 7 of the moving body 1 composed of a secondary magnetic conductor 6 passes immediately in a front of the contactless switch 9. A detection signal (ON signal) is outputted from the contactless switch 9 with such time interval as proportional to the taraveling speed of the moving body 1. Since the speed can be detected without contact, it can be detected accurately when compared with a conventional system where a speed detection roller is employed.</p> |
