PURPOSE:To obtain a picture without any distortion which can be used even for measurement, etc., by compensating the error of an orthogonality degree by a skew circuit at the time of an interlace/non-interlace conversion. CONSTITUTION:A picture signal from a TV camera 1 is written to a frame memory part 11, this written picture signal is read out by an address generator 134 in a non-interlace mode, and the interlace/non-interlace conversion is executed for the signal. On the other hand, since a skew circuit 7 controls a deflection coil driving circuit 6 and applies a skew in an opposite direction when a switch 12 is turned on, an image pickup tube 3 executes scanning in a direction slightly inclined to a CCW direction compared with its ordinary direction by a deflection coil 5. Thus, the error of the orthogonality degree can be compensated, and the picture without any distortion can be obtained on a monitor 15. |
