PURPOSE:To deployably fold a rear view mirror via the remote operation by releasing the fixing of the rotary positioning disk of a lock pin with an operating cam so that a support arm can be rotated between the fixed position and the storage position when a drive gear is rotated by a motor by the preset angle. CONSTITUTION:A rear view mirror is foldably supported on a casing 1 fitted to a car body via a support arm 50, and a motor 45 is activated to positively rotate a drive gear 40 when the rear view mirror is to be folded on the car body side. The drive gear 40 and an operating cam 30 are coupled freely against an operating shaft 10, and a lock pin 27 is pushed back against the spring force via a cam follower 29 by the displacement of the operating cam 30 and released from a recess 24 formed on a positioning disk 20. A pin 35 on the operating cam 30 is brought into contact with the end section of the circular arc groove 22 of the positioning disk 20, the rotating force is transmitted to the disk 20, i.e., the operating shaft 10, and the support arm 50 is turned to the side of the car body. |
