PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester type color developer having stable characteristic for triboelectric charge and superior effect for preventing sticking of carrier by producing the developer by a polymer blending method of a resin contg. a specified copolymer with an F-contg., resin which is charged to have reversed polarity to the copolymer. CONSTITUTION:An electrical insulating resin for covering the surface of a carrier core material is produced by a polymer-blending method of a resin contg. a copolymer obtd. by a copolymn. of a monomer selected from acrylic acid monomer and methacrylic acid monomer, contg. both OH groups, or esters of both monomers, with a monomer selected from styrenic monomers, with an F-contg. resin which is charged to have reversed polarity to the copolymer base on the polarity of the surface of a carrier core material, wherein relations of a volume average particle size of a nonmagnetic color toner to a meanhole diameter of the surface of the carrier core material are defined by: 4<=a<=10mum, 0.5<=b<=6.0mum, 0.15<=b/a<=1.0 (wherein a is a volume average particle size of the nonmagnetic color toner (mu), b is a meanhole diameter of the surface of the carrier core material (mu). Thus, a developer having stable characteristic for triboelectric charge and superior effect for preventing sticking of the carrier is obtd. |
