发明名称 ELECTRODE MATERIAL FOR METAL-HALOGEN SECONDARY BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To keep electrode activity high and to increase the strength of an electrode by bonding a paper-shaped material containing porous carbon fibers to a net-shaped material having halogen resistant property, and using them to form an electrode. CONSTITUTION:The amount of porous fibers contained in a paper-shaped material is 30% or more, preferably 50% or more. The ratio of the area of the bonded part of the net-shaped material to the area of the paper-shaped material is limited to 5.0X10<-5>% or more to obtain reinforcing effect and further limited to 20% or less to keep electrode activity high. The opening area in one mesh of the net-shaped material is 200cm<2> or less, preferably 50cm<2> or less to reinforce the paper-shaped material. The paper-shaped material is bonded to the net- shaped material by thermocompression bonding or with an adhesive, then bonded to an electrode so that the net-shaped material locates outside. Electrode activity is kept high with porous carbon fibers as many as possible and the strength of the electrode is increased by bonding the net-shaped material.
