PURPOSE:To drastically improve the effect of a physical cleaning method wherein waste water treatment need not be considered by promoting the separation of the contaminant on a resin to be treated by the shock wave generated when the steam injected into cleaning water is instantaneously condensed. CONSTITUTION:A resin to be treated is charged into a cleaning tower 8 from its top, and cleaned by the cleaning water supplied from the bottom of the tower 8. The cleaned resin is discharged from the bottom of the tower 8, and the separated contaminant is discharged from the top of the tower 8 along with the cleaning water. A steam blowing pipe 11 is set in the tower 8 above a cleaning water supply pipe 9 provided at the bottom in the tower 8. The separation of the contaminant depositing on the resin is promoted by the shock wave generated when the steam is supplied from the blowing pipe 11, rapidly cooled by the cleaning water in the tower 8, and condensed. As a result, the effect of this physical cleaning method, wherein chemicals are not used and waste liq. treatment need not be considered, is drastically improved. |
