PURPOSE:To give a harp effect with which a musical performance similar to that obtained with a harp can be played to an electronic musical instrument by providing a playing pitch name designating means and sound production controlling means which makes the pitch of the sound of a specific pitch name of playing pitch names designated by the above-mentioned means higher or lower by a semitone or inhibit the production of the sound. CONSTITUTION:This electronic musical instrument with harp effect is provided with a playing pitch name designating means 1 and a sound production controlling means 2 which makes the sound of a specific pitch name of the pitch names designated by the means 1 higher or lower by a semitone or inhibit the production of the sound. The means 1 is, for example, a keyboard. The specific pitch name is designated out of the pitch names of the white keys of the keyboard by means of a switching means provided with a harp pedal function and a semitone operation designating means makes the sounds higher or lower by a semitone. The means 2 makes the sound of the designated specific pitch name higher or lower by a semitone based on the designation of the semitone operation designating means. Thus a harp-like musical performance including a harp arpeggio performance can be performed by means of the white keys only. |
