<p>PURPOSE:To improve the quality of treated water and to stabilize the process by providing a control means for imparting a control signal based on the result of a picture processing means. CONSTITUTION:The detection part 40 is a preparation, and the picture is enlarged by a picture enlarging device 41. The liq. 40 to be detected contg. activated sludge is used as the preparation and examined by a microscope, and an original picture having a contrast is obtained. A dark part consisting of a flock part Z and a fibrous part F is present in the liq. phase part B of the original picture. The original picture is transduced by a vidicon camera 42 into the luminance information of a microscopic picture element unit, and the luminance information is processed by a picture information processing device. The processed result is inputted to an arithmetic circuit 13. An air volume controller 21 is operated in accordance with the deviation outputted from the arithmetic circuit 13, and the aeration air volume is controlled. By this method, the microbes having an excellent settling property are cultured, and the quality of treated water is improved.</p> |
