PURPOSE:To obtain the title laser small in size and large in output by forming a solid state laser medium in a prism shape. CONSTITUTION:LD 12 is employed as a solid state laser medium 10 of a corner cube prism shape and a pumping light source. The pumping light emitted from the LD 12 is incident from the circular edge face 10A of the medium 10 through a lens 14, totally reflected on three end faces 10B-10D of opposite side to the circular edge face, and the reflection is repeated between a resonator mirror 16 and an output mirror 18, thereby generating a laser oscillation. The generated solid state laser light is produced from a laser light output reflection mirror 20 through the mirror 18 at the side of an optical path as an output light 22. Here, the resonator mirror 16 and the mirror 20 transmit the wavelength light of the LD 12 and totally reflect the wavelength light of the medium 10. Thus, the title laser can be made to be of a large output and a small size. |
