The invention relates to a door latch without a handle, in particular for hinged sliding doors of vehicles, in which a spring-loaded pawl 10 on the door leaf 9 cooperates with a bar striker 5. A release lever 11 associated with bar 5 is acted upon by a controllable power source (eg pneumatic device 14 with piston 17) in opposition to a spring 13 and with an optional emergency manual release via cable 23 and/or a limit switch 24 is located in a box 1. The box 1 is located outside the inside profile of the door opening, for example aligning with the latter and the power source 14 and the emergency actuating device (19-23) if present, and/or the limit switch 24 can be dismantled parallel to the plane of the door frame in an at least approximately horizontal direction. The screws (32), by which the latch box (1) is attached to the door frame (33), are arranged at the level of the detachable parts so that the latch box may be covered on the inside by a wall cladding or by fittings and that its installation and its re-adjustment as regards height is possible in a simple manner. <IMAGE> |
