PURPOSE:To obtain the subject promoting agent having excellent activity- promoting effect by using a specific organic germanium compound as a main component. CONSTITUTION:The objective interferon-production promoting agent is composed mainly of an organic germanium compound expressed by the rational formula (n is integer of >=1), exhibiting white acicular crystal form and having a water- solubility of 1.57g/100ml at 25 deg.C and a melting point of 240 deg.C (decomposition). The compound is expected to be useful as an agent for promoting the action of an interferon-producing substance, especially living or dead cell component of influenza virus, Haemophilus influenzae, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, hemolytic streptococcus, basidiomycete, etc., and yeast cell wall polysaccharide. |
