PURPOSE: To cope with mammalian intoxication caused by flupropadine, a powerful rodenticide, or its relating compounds by using chlorpromazine, citalopram, fluoxetine or the like as an antidote. CONSTITUTION: As an antidote for mammalian intoxication with flupropadine, [1-(3,5-bistrifluoromethylphenyl)-3-(4-t-butylpiperidino)prop-l-yne], or its relating compounds, are used a tricyclic antidepressant agent (for example, chlorpromazine), citalopram, fluoxetine or their salts. These compounds adjusts the aminergicity system in the gastrointestinal tract and the adrenal tissues. This antidote may be given orally, rectally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, nasally or percutaneously, but a single depot preparation or a multipump type implantation is suitable optimally for long-time application.
