<p>PURPOSE:To set plural timers in terms of the simultaneous and parallel processes without dividing a user process by informing a time-out state to a user processor when the time-out state is detected with the accumulated timer setting requests. CONSTITUTION:A timer setting request accepting means 71 accepts the timer value, a timer identifier, and a timer setting request TRQ of a process identifier and produces a request timer table 722 under the control of the information on a timer control table 721. Then a timer monitor means 73 subtracts the least unit time from the set timer value when the active table 722 is detected. Then the means 73 informs the process 3 of the occurrence of a time-out state when the result of the subtraction is equal to zero or less. Thus it is possible to set plural timers in terms of the simultaneous and parallel processes via the processor 3 without dividing the process 3 even in a computer system having no function to accept plural timer setting requests.</p> |
