PURPOSE:To improve the response speed to a coordinate input operation by switching the size of a cursor mark to a small one when the input coordinates have a large changing width. CONSTITUTION:A processor 2 performs the comparison between the preceding and present values of the 2-dimensional coordinate position inputted from a mouse 3. When the difference between both values exceeds a reference level, the size of a cursor mark shown on the display screen of a bit map display 1 is switched to a small one. While a cursor mark with normal size is displayed as long as the difference of both values of the coordinate positions is kept under the reference level. In other words, the much importance is attached to the tracking performance and the size of the cursor mark is reduced to shorten the cursor processing time in case the coordinate position of the cursor mark has a large changing width. As a result, the response speed is increased to coordinate input operation even with the high screen accuracy, and the satisfactory response is secured for a display device.
|
