PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic with hardly any stickiness, excellent in touch and improved in brushability by blending a chitosan derivative prepared by reacting chitosan or low-molecular chitosan with saccharides having reducing terminals with other ingredients. CONSTITUTION:A skin cosmetic obtained by blending a chitosan derivative prepared by reacting chitosan (prepared from a crab, lobster, etc., and having >=40% deacetylation degree) or low-molecular chitosan (e.g., obtained by treating chitosan with concentrated hydrochloric acid or chlorine gas, sodium perchlorate, etc.) with saccharides (e.g., glucose, galactose or mannose) having reducing terminals with a reducing agent, such as sodium cyanoboron hydride, with other ingredients. The amount of the above-mentioned derivative based on the hair cosmetic is preferably at a ratio of 0.01-10wt.%, especially 0.05-2wt.% in the final composition. |
