PURPOSE:To obtain a signal with less stop noise and erasure noise at recording by providing a partial magnetized face magnetized and a non-magnetized face arranged alternately on a contact face. CONSTITUTION:A head main body 2 whose front face has an arc contact face onto a tape is made of a permanent magnet material such as ferrite powder and whose side face has a groove 7 for identifying magnetization is formed by the forming method, the N pole magnetizing process and the S pole magnetizing process are applied to the entire side faces of one head main body 2 and to the entire side faces of the other head main body 2 by the single pole entire magnetizing method, the entire side faces of one body and the entire side faces of the other body are used as the N pole magnetized face 3 and the S pole magnetized face 3' respectively, then the magnetizing process of the N and S poles is applied once to the middle of the contact face 1 by a two-pole magnetizing magnetic head device 8 to provide a partial magnetizing face 4 and a non-magnetizing face 5 in the middle and no magnetizing process is applied to both sides of the contact face 1 to provide a non-magnetizing face 5 on both sides respectively. Thus, a product with the excellent erasure rate and distortion factor is obtained with an easy means not causing any troublesome operation and with good productivity. |
