PURPOSE:To prevent generation of loud noise by resonance due to vibration of a roll main body by constituting the title roll of the roll main body made of a metal, the hard rubber coating layer covering the outer peripheral surface of the roll main body and the viscoelastic layer interposed between the outer peripheral surface of the roll main body and the hard rubber coating layer. CONSTITUTION:A platen roll 1 consists of a roll main body 2 made of aluminum, the hard rubber coating layer 3 composed of NBR or SBR covering the outer peripheral surface of the roll main body 2 and the viscoelastic layer 4 interposed between the outer peripheral surface of the roll main body 2 and the hard rubber coating layer 3. The roll main body 2 is constituted by fixing end plates 6 to both ends of a cylindrical body 5 and integrally providing rotary shaft parts 7 to the outer surfaces of the end plates 6. In this platen roll, since the impact force at the time of printing is absorbed and the vibration of the roll main body is suppressed, the generation of loud noise caused by resonance is prevented. |
