PURPOSE:To perform usual scanning and interpolation scanning at substantially the same time by continuously and reciprocally moving a ring-shaped radiation detection means in a sliced thickness direction (Z-direction) and collecting data corresponding to the moving position thereof. CONSTITUTION:A detector ring 1 is supported by a support 2 while the support 2 is supported on a frame 3 by four shafts through a slide bearing 31. Each of the shafts 21 extends in the axial direction (Z-direction) of the ring 1 and a screw rod 22 is formed to the right end part thereof. The sprocket 32 meshed with a chain is held to the frame 3 in a freely rotatable manner by a bearing 33 and a nut 34 is coaxially mounted to the inside thereof to be meshed with the screw rod 22. The chain is driven by a servo motor and the sprocket 32 is rotated by said chain and the nut 34 is rotated to move the screw rod 22 in the Z-direction. Therefore, the ring 1 is moved in the Z-direction. A shaft encoder is provided to the motor and the output thereof is counted to detect the position of the ring 1 in the Z-direction.
