PURPOSE:To allow a card user to discriminate between a recording region and a part other than the recording region by providing a layer discriminable from the recording region by the touch to the part other than the recording region of the surface of an optical card medium. CONSTITUTION:An optical card medium is formed by providing a recording layer 4 possible to record by laser beam is provided to the tracking groove surface of a transparent resin substrate 3 having tracking grooves 10 and transparent to laser beam and laminating the same to a protective substrate 6 through an adhesive layer 5. As the substrate 3, a plastic substrate transparent to laser beam is used. The protective substrate 6 may be formed from the same material quality as the substrate 1 but may not be necessarily transparent. In the adhesive layer 5, a thermoplastic adhesive, especially, a hot melt type is easy to use. Ink having particles dispersed therein is applied to the part other than a recording layer 8 of an optical card, that is, the part 9 other than the recording region of the card to form a layer discriminable from the recording region by the touch and the discrimination by the touch is made possible. Further, the optical card is formed and a film whose surface is subjected to undulation processing may be laminated to the part other than the recording region through an adhesive layer. |
