For producing a race for a round table, on which tools (casting moulds) for producing plastics mouldings are arranged and which is supported on the race by running rollers, a mould corresponding to the circular shape of the race is formed with a U-shaped cross-section on the ground or foundation. There is then poured into this mould a curable liquid which, before curing, forms in the mould a race with an absolutely horizontal and planar surface.
