<p>This invention relates to a metal gasket for sealing a gas or a liquid. It has a planar substrate (10) consisting of a metal sheet and surface-pressure agents (A), (B) are each applied to either surface or the substrate (10) in mutually different positions and around the outer periphery of a hole of the substrate (10) to be sealed. When the substrate (10) is clamped from both sides, it undergoes elastic deformation as it is pressed by the surface-pressure agents (A), (B), thereby generating a surface pressure.</p> |
