Aqueous coating agent based on polyacrylate resins which contain air-drying, unsaturated fatty acid radicals and quaternary ammonium groups, a process for their preparation by reacting epoxide-containing polyacrylates with drying fatty acids and ammonium salts based on tertiary monoamines, subsequently dissolving the reaction products in water and adding the assistants and additives known from paint technology, and the use of the coating agents for coating wood or wood materials.
