The invention relates to a cabinet for holding electronic devices, consisting of two welded surrounding frames (2, 4) made of profiled sections (10), the two frames (2, 4) being connected together by four foot and head strips (6, 8) to form a framework. According to the invention, the profiled sections (10) of the frame (2, 4) and the foot and head strips (6, 8) are each provided with two fastening branches (18, 20) which are continuously provided with flanges (22) in a predetermined structural separation and, in each cabinet corner, the frame (2, 4) and the foot or head strip (6, 8 respectively) are connected together by means of a clamp-like, adjustable, releasable connecting element (24) in such a way that the two fastening branches (18, 20) are connected together non-positively and the connecting element (24) is positively connected to the flange or flanges (22) of the two fastening branches (18, 20). A cabinet is obtained in this way which has a substantially increased section modulus without additional stiffening strips. <IMAGE>
