<p>A prevulcanized tread having an outer face with a tread pattern and a sole. In a stress-free condition, the tread has a constant curvature in a longitudinal direction, the curvature having a radius R corresponding substantially to the radius of tires to be recapped, the tread having two ends in a longitudinal direction and a length at least equal to the length of the circumference of the largest tires to be recapped. The sole is concave and has a radius of curvature in a transverse direction so as to adapt itself correctly to a carcass on which it is to be secured.</p> |
