PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of troubles, such as crosstalks and failure in recording and reproducing of signals, by forming a water impermeable thin film which constitutes a thin film layer on the transfer surface for signal patterns to the thickness at which the moisture in air can be shut off over the entire transfer surface. CONSTITUTION:The thin film layer 11 consists, successively from the transfer surface side for signal patterns, the water impermeable film 21 made of dielectrics, an underlying film 22 for improving recording sensitivity and a recording film 23 of a write once system. The thin film 21 having the water impermeability is formed to the thickness at which the moisture in the air can be shut off over the entire surface of the transfer surface, i.e. the entire surface including the side faces of the prepits 8. The infiltration of the moisture in the air from the side faces of the prepits 8 and the local swelling of the resin layer 10 are, therefore, prevented and the generation of track offsets in the adjacent tracks is obviated. The generation of the troubles, such as crosstalks and the failure in recording and reproducing, is prevented in this way. |
