PURPOSE:To permit the detection of the flaws in a core in a short period of time by a method wherein electrode bodies are arranged on the insulating coating of a cable and AC current is impressed between the electrode bodies and cutters to detect the flaws in the core by the existence of conduction. CONSTITUTION:Tubular electrode bodies 8a, 8b having a length (l) respectively are arranged so as to be opposed in the lengthwise direction of a cable with a distance (d) while an electric wire 5 is arranged in the electrode bodies coaxially. The terminal Ta of a detecting circuit 9 for detecting an AC voltage is connected to the tubular electrode body 8b and the other terminal Tb is connected to an AC power source 10 as well as cutters for cutting the insulation coating of the cable. One end of the AC power source 10 is connected to the tubular electrode body Tb. A capacitor is formed between the electrodes 8a, 8b and the core of the electric wire 5 through the insulation coating while the circuit of the AC power source is formed through the capacitor whereby it may be judged that whether the cutters 2 are brought into contact with the core or not by monitoring a voltage through the detecting circuit 9. |
