COLD ROLLING METHOD OF PLATE MATERIAL OR BAND PLATE

PURPOSE: To reduce erroneous control and defective shapes in a rolling process by holding the ratio of a displacement variable between control elements to a constant and simultaneously making the whole control elements reach respective objective values. CONSTITUTION: A reversible rolling stand 1 is controlled by many control elements so that a stock to be rolled is rolled at a controlled rate of change in lengthΔL/L. The control element 3 which is arranged keeping a distance in the axial direction and the control element 5 which acts on positioning in the axial direction of a conical roll 4 are arranged on a supporting roll 2. In order to eliminate stationary rolling errors which are generated in a central part and an edge part of the stock to be rolled, a setting value for driving the control elements 5, 4 thereby is generated with a controller 6 based on a pressure data 8 measured by a measuring roll 7. The defective shapes of the stock to be rolled are displayed on display screens 9, 10.
