PURPOSE:To improve heat resistance and a quality of aged deterioration by interposing an intermediate layer, containing specific wt.% or more halogen not contained-elastomer, between a silk cloth and a halogen contained elastomer layer. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate layer, mainly composed of elastomer, is interposed between a silk cloth and a halogen-contained elastomer layer, and said intermediate layer is formed in its 75wt.% or more elastomer as halogen not contained-elastomer. In this way, halogen or hydrogen halide, generated by resolving halogen-contained elastomer, can be suppressed from infiltrating into the silk cloth, and the base cloth for an air bag is obtained excellent in a heat resisting aged deterioration quality with no change of flexibility and mechanical characteristic even after a storage period over the long time. |
