<p>PURPOSE:To control tension applied to a tape to a constant value without depending on a tape speed and a tape diameter by making a torque applied to a reel by means of a reel driving means into a value in parallel with the rotation cycle of the reel. CONSTITUTION:The rotating condition of a reel 4 is converted into rotating information through a rotation detecting means 5 by a rotation information converting means 6, torque information in proportion to the radius of the reel 4 is outputted from the rotation information in an arithmetic means 7, and converted into the torque by a reel driving means 9. Since the torque is in proportion to the radius of the reel 4, the tension applied to a tape 1 is made constant regardless of the radius of the reel 4. Next, when the output of a speed commanding means 3 is changed, and the tape speed is changed, the rotation information output of the rotation information converting means 6 is corrected with the use of the speed command of the speed commanding means 3 in the arithmetic means 7, and the tension is made constant even at the different speed. Thus, the tension can be controlled independently from the tape speed and a tape wound width.</p> |
