PURPOSE:To constitute so that a jump of a tape is reduced to minimum in the vicinity of a head, by making a continuous elastic belt contact with a part of a reel to rotate the reel, and also supporting the tape in the vicinity of the head by its belt. CONSTITUTION:When an elastic belt 8 is driven by a capstan 28 through a roller 26, it contacts with circumferential parts 32, 34 of a take-up reel 4 and a supply reel 6, drives the reels 4, 6, a tape 12 moves to the take-up reel 4 from the supply reel 6, passes through the circumference of a belt idle wheel 23 and 15, and passes through a head 33 on its way. In this case, the tape 12 contacts with the belt 8, is supported by the belt, and a jump in the vertical direction, of the tape in the vicinity of the head 33 is reduced to minimum. Also, the belt 8 rotates round the circumference of the take-up reel 4 at a higher speed than a speed at which it rotates around the circumference of the supply reel 6, and tensile strength is given to the tape. |
