PURPOSE:To shorten the time up to the acceptance of a key input such as a mode change by providing a means for discharging a copying form which is in a transfer process when copying operation is stopped without quitting all transfer processes. CONSTITUTION:For example, a clear/stop key is turned on in a 3rd scan on a 1st document. The chucking claw 51a of a transfer drum 51 rotates to the position facing a separation claw 54 and a separation claw solenoid SL is turned on to loosen the chucking claw 51a, thereby peeling a copying form off the peripheral surface of a transfer drum 51. The copying form is conveyed toward a paper discharge tray 57 and a paper discharge sensor SS5 detects its tail end. Thus, the copying operation is stopped and then the copying form which is in transfer is discharged without entering a new transfer process, so there is no wait time and another mode is set immediately. |
