PURPOSE:To securely and accurately set a document and to save a space by providing a document placing reference position on the operation side of the copying machine, scanning an exposure optical system forward and backward, and setting a scanning start position on a position opposite the operation side. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 501 rotates clockwise when viewed from the left side of a main body 200 to form a latent image, and when an operator sets the document along a document reference scale on this side, the scanning starts on the tail end side of the document and ends at the document reference position. Namely, the scanning start position is changed according to document size, form size, or copy magnification, the end reference position is fixed, and copying operation is carried out to improve the document operability. Further, a copying paper discharge opening is provided on the upper part of the main body of an automatic inverted document feeding device 100 and a copy is taken while copying paper is fed from the front side and conveyed inward; and the paper is discharged to a tray 101 through the copying machine main body 200, so the space is saved. |
