PURPOSE:To suppress power distortion by providing a bridge circuit connected in parallel on the AC side of an inverter, higher harmonic current reference signal circuits of each phase of the inverter and a motor, a circuit to switchingly control the two reference signal circuits and a gate current control means for bridge circuit elements. CONSTITUTION:On the AC side of a thyristor inverter 5 a block circuit 27 is provided through a transformer 20. Higher harmonic current reference signal circuits 23 and 23A to input the signals of current detectors 22 and 21 and to shut down the reference wave components with a filter circuit is provided. The circuits 23 and 23A are switchingly controlled by a speed detector 29. By providing a current control circuit 35 for a gate circuit 26 of self-arc- extinguishing elements in the circuit 27, power distortion can be suppressed accordingly. |
