PURPOSE:To enlarge an upper space of a printing mechanism without removing a sheet supplying/discharging device from a printer and to facilitate a ribbon cassette replacing work by rotating a stacker to a retreating position when the ribbon cassette is replaced. CONSTITUTION:If a ribbon cassette 7 is replaced with a new one, when stacker 30 is rotated from a slip using position to a retreating position with a shaft piece 32 as a center, the stacker 30 is separated from a printing mechanism P, and the upper space of a cover 9 for the cassette 7 is enlarged. In this state, after the cover 9 is removed from a printer frame 1, the cassette 7 can be easily replaced. After the cassette is replaced, the cover 9 is again mounted in the frame 1, the stacker 30 may be reset and rotated. The cassette 7 can be easily replaced without a complicated work of removing a sheet supplying/ discharging device 21 from the frame 1. |
