PURPOSE:To improve printing speed by removing or supplying electric energy for resetting a printing wire for a longer period of time in case dot printing unnecessary than that in case dot printing is neccessary during a predetermined pitch from the dot printing of this time, and slowly resetting the wire. CONSTITUTION:Reset control means is composed of a transistor TR3, a section for generating a discharge extension command on the basis of printing data of a main controller 64, and a section for controlling the transistor TR3 in response to the command of a controller 62. In case dot printing of first pitch, is necessary the transistor TR3 is continuously switched to ON to rapidly discharge a piezoelectric element P, while in case unnecessary, the transistor TR3 is turned ON, OFF to gradually discharge the element P. |
