PURPOSE:To improve the transparency and to suppress color fluctuation, with respect to a cell for cataphoresis display, plasma display, manual input device and the like, by preparing a spacer for holding the cells with a constant interval through pattern exposure and development of a substrate applied with photoresist material. CONSTITUTION:A cataphoresis display element 2 is prepared by holding two sheets of transparent substrates 1 through a spacer 2 with a constant interval then fitting the gap with white liquid 5 containing color pigment 4, where display is made by applying voltage onto transparent electrodes 3 and relieving the display element with the pigment 4. The transparent substrate 1 may be composed of polyester, glass, and the like. Photo-resist material is applied uniformly onto the substrate 1 then exposure and development are carried out through a mask, thereafter etching is made to form a spacer pattern. Thereafter, another substrate 1 is adhered to complete a cell. |
