New phenoxyisobutyric acids, derivatives thereof and processes for the production thereof

The subject of the present addition is new phenoxyisobutyric acids corresponding to the general formula IA: <IMAGE> in which R is hydrogen, a halogen, an optionally substituted cyclopropyl radical, or a cycloalkyl, alkoxy or aryloxy radical; R1 is a lower alkyl radical; and Z is a hydroxyl, free or in the salt form, an alkoxy radical or an amino radical. The compounds according to the present addition have advantageous pharmacological properties which make them capable of being used as active principles of hypocholesteraemic medicaments.
