The invention relates to a tablet which disintegrates and/or dissolves virtually instantaneously, of the type consisting of at least one active principle and of an excipient, wherein the aforementioned excipient essentially comprises a macromolecular cross linked polysaccharide compound and a swelling agent. This tablet is especially suitable for the treatment of infants or other subjects who have difficulty in swallowing.
