The present invention relates to a novel hot-gilding device consisting of improvements adaptable to cylinder presses originally designed for printing. The novel device comprises a mobile bed 1 supporting a heating device which directs the heat, the assembly as a whole resting on a stand 4, a floating reel of gold leaf 3 placed in a gutter, an orientable pay-out means 5, a pressure cylinder 2; the assembly as a whole being protected by a pivotable hood 36.
