A deodorising coating formulation comprises (a) a deodorising ingredient, (b) a binder resin, and (c) a liq. medium. Cpd. (a) is a white or colourless deodorising agent comprising 10-90 pts.wt. Zn- cpd. and 90-10 pts.wt. aliphatic or aromatic polycarboxylic acid (salt). Zn-cpd. comprises the sulphate, chloride, phosphate, nitrate, carbonate, acetate, oxalate, oxalate, citrate, fumarate, or formate. Resin comprises 10-30 wt.% of prod. The obtd sheet is useful to shield a flavour or odour from external flavour or odours while maintaining air permeability when wrapping foods with strong flavours or odours.
