PURPOSE:To prevent the local welding inferiority of foamed beads in a protruding part by providing steam holes to the mold part corresponding to the upper surface part of the protruding part of a foamed molded product but providing no steam holes to the mold part corresponding to the side surface part of the protruding part. CONSTITUTION:A large number of steam holes 8 are provided to the mold part 4a corresponding to the upper surface part of the protruding part 2 of a molded body. No steam holes are present in the mold part 4b corresponding to the side surface part of the protruding part of the molded body at all. A mold consists of a cavity mold 3 and a core mold 4 and the cavity formed by both molds is filled with polyolefinic resin foamed beads 6. In performing foam molding using this mold, for example, steam is supplied to the core mold 4 from a core steam valve 10 and further passes through the steam holes 8 to be discharged from a drain valve 11 on the side of the cavity. Herein, the flow line of steam becomes the line passing through the gaps of foamed beads from the core mold 4 to straightly go to the cavity mold and the air present between the beads is easily replaced with steam to uniformly heat the beads. |
