Allylic amines of formula (I) and their non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid addn. salts are prepared by hydrolizing a cpd. of fromula (II) with hydrazine in the presence of alcohol. (I) are pref. beta-methylene-2- or 3-furanethaneamines. (I) have a dopamine-beta- hydroxylose inhibiting activity and so are useful as antihypertensives.
