<p>PURPOSE:To extract the feature of a picture at a high speed by providing a shift register part, housing the picture, after that, shifting the picture and counting a direction index to transform picture data. CONSTITUTION:A binary digital picture is inputted and the picture for a prescribed line is housed with a prescribed bit by a shift register part 6. After that, the picture is shifted. The look-up table of the register part 6 transforms the picture data to the direction index and the direction index is outputted to a decode ROM 7. The ROM 7 outputs a counter enable signal, which corresponds to the direction index and adding data to the picture of a picture element, to counters 8-13. The counters 8-13 counts and adds the direction index, which is inputted from the ROM 7, and a total sum is obtained by latches 16-19. This direction index is read by a CPU 1 and the feature of the picture is extracted at the high speed. Then, recognition processing can be executed at the high speed.</p> |
