PURPOSE:To obtain the printing original plate which contains a novel binder resin and has excellent printing resistance by forming the binder resin of a photoconductive layer of a copolymer contg. a specific monomer as at least one monomer component. CONSTITUTION:The binder resin of the photoconductive layer is the copolymer contg. the monomer expressed by formula I or formula II as at least one monomer component. In formulas I and II, R<1> to R<4> respectively denote a hydrogen atom or 1-6C alkyl group; R<1> and R<2> or R<3> and R<4> may be the same or different. L denotes a bivalent combination group. The printing original plate for electrophotographic engraving having the excellent printing resistance is obtd. in this way.
