PURPOSE:To attain the conversion of character strings during execution of an NC (numerical control) program with no operation of a keyboard by putting previously the definition of a character string conversion command into the NC program. CONSTITUTION:A character string conversion command is previously put into an NC program to convert a character string contained in the NC program into another character string. Then the NC program is stored in an NC program memory device 1 and a 1-block buffer 2 and set for each block and undergo the conversion of character strings via an NC program converter 11 and based on the data on a conversion table 12. The data are set into the table 12 via an NC program interpreting device 6 in accordance with the definition of the character string conversion command contained in the NC program of the buffer 2. The NC program undergone the conversion of character strings is set into a working data table 7 as the working data. Thus it is possible to perform the conversion of character strings for the NC program during execu tion of this program with no operation of a keyboard. |
