For treating at least one gas, for example for separating a gas mixture into materially different constituents, for separating off solids, for altering the temperature, for humidifying or dehumidifying or the like, the gas is passed through at least one bundled channel arrangement (82) of at least one treatment body (71) which includes or forms a molecular sieve (98) and/or a membrane (99). The treatment body (71) essentially consists of a ceramic material and can have been produced as a honeycomb by extrusion or an anionic oxidation process. Separate gas streams are expediently passed in opposite directions through adjoining sectors of the treatment body (71), the particular gas stream in the associated sector being introduced into only a limited number of the existing channels and passed out again of the remaining channels, so that at least one material constituent thereof must flow through the walls (97) between these channels. The sectors of the treatment body (71) are continuously rotated relative to the two gas streams, so that all channels (95, 96) of the treatment body alternately carry a flow in opposite directions for regeneration.

|
