CONSTITUTION:When a staple cartridge is replaced, the number of staples is set in the counter of a RAM 302 as the initial value, the counter is counted in a decrement for each staple action by the drive of a motor 116, and the number of remnant staples is detected by a CPU 300. If the number of remnant staples is smaller than the number of copies inputted via the ten-key 202 of a copying machine main body, a staple feed indicator 232 and a staple impossibility indicator 233 are displayed, a staple mode indicator 221 is cleared, no staple processing is performed, and only the sort processing is performed. The void drive can be thereby prevented. |
