PURPOSE:To easily and rapidly connect a solid state luminous display device with a drive circuit using a connector by a method wherein electrodes of the solid state luminous display device provided with an LED are led out from end sides shifting connecting positions in an opposite direction respectively or led out downward from the device using a flexible lead. CONSTITUTION:When a solid-state light emitting device and a drive circuit are connected together, the connection between them is executed in a single operation using connectors provided to an upper and a lower electrode respectively. That is, a light emitting device 30 is connected with an external drive circuit shown in a figure in such a manner that connectors 21 and 22 connected to the drive circuit are inserted into an upper electrode 16 and a lower electrode 13, which are provided to both the ends of the device 30 protruding, facing their fitting holes towards the electrodes 18 and 13 to enable conductive members 24 to be in contact with the electrodes 16 and 13 in a single operation. By this setup, when the device 30 needs to be separated from the drive circuit at maintenance, the connectors 16 and 13 are only pulled outward to separate, so that the connection and the disconnection can be very easily performed. |
